Rice Overcomes Mechanical Issue to Earn Second-Place Finish at Spartan

The racing action this past weekend for Chance Rice was at Spartan Speedway (MI). On Friday, May 11th, Rice qualified his Modified in the fourth position, but had steering linkage issues in the heat race, forcing him to work hard to fix the problem before the feature. In the feature, Rice made his presence known, finishing second at the checkered flag.

About Chance Rice

Growing up in the Midwest, Michigan racer Chance Rice has earned his keep on the race track. Starting his career from behind the wheel at age seven, he won over 300 races in Karting.

Moving up to the Legends Car scene, Rice continued his winning ways. With over 30 wins and multiple championships, Rice is a force on the race track every time he shows up to race. Most recently, Rice was the 2010 Legends Nationals Pro division champion, the 2011 Michigan Legends Pro / Overall champion, and won the 2011 Midwest Racing Scene People's Choice Award Winner for Favorite Michigan Legends Driver.

Going into the 2012 season, Rice has 19 championships to his credit, from Karts to Legends. The young racer will spend time behind the wheel of a Legends Car as well as a Modified.
